Growing up in the south, and particularly in north Alabama, farming was a way of life.  I don't remember my Daddy as a farmer, but as a local business owner.  But I was well aware that farming was his roots.  Several of my uncles farmed and every weekend my grandfathers both went to the "sale barn".
