Posted On 01/27/2012 15:10:59 by Bleacherbum
I can’t brag enough on Susan Voiers and her love of helping non profits thrive.  Carmen and Nichola (Gosh I hope I spelled that right).  Contacted Susan because they wanted her advice on a worthy organization to donate their extra food to on Fridays.  Susan told her of True Grace and Carmen contacted us immediately.  Well I called Doug and said “Go with me and help me pick this up” and he grumbled and came anyway.  We showed up to this blessing of a business and wa... Goin' to the Dogs Pet Supply & Dog Bath
Posted On 12/22/2011 23:37:52 by BusinessSpotlight
Goin' to the Dogs owners saw a need for a locally owned, friendly retail pet shop in this area.  The big box stores just don't have the time or inclination to research issues for pet owners or to spend the time getting to know the pets and their people.  We wanted to fill that niche in Huntsville.  In addition, we saw that the area did not have any self-serve dog washes that were clean, safe, and had an attendant to assist or answer questions.      Havin... Posted On 11/18/2011 11:28:58 by marketingmaster2003
No side dish is more traditional on Thanksgiving day than stuffing. Truly it is one of those wonderful comfort foods that brings back memories of Grandma lovingly preparing her tried and true stuffing for her family on Turkey Day.  I have my traditional stuffing recipe ready and waiting for me to prepare in less than a week. However, I am feeling daring this Thanksgiving season and decided that I would also try a new stuffing recipe that was a little different from my traditional re... Read More

Knowing I'd completely mess with her, I texted her and said "I'm headed south on Wall Triana, is it on the left or right?" her response was, and I do quote here, "OMG, you cannot say south to me" bwHahhahahaha that messed with her mind for hours. Then s... Read More

Comfort Food

What's for dinner tonight?  After a long day, a tiring day all I want is some comfort food?  You know the food that takes you back in time to a warm cozy place.  Could have been in your young childhood, school days, college years, or even now!

One of my comfort foods is cornbread and milk.  Yup, crumble up some homemade cornbread, actually day old is the best.  Fill the glass with milk and enjoy.  Mmmm.  I can still see my mama sitting at the table e... Read More

Nothing Tastes So Good as Being Slender Feels   By Deana Lyn Smith and Dr. Bonnie Libhart © July 11/11   The doctor said, “Get your affairs In order, because you have cancer.”  He said it as if he were saying it’s raining out so sing-song so matter of fact. I thought, “Affairs! I don’t even have a boy friend. What does he mean ‘affairs’”.  He went on, “exercise, lose your weight,... Read More
