Cabo San Lucas Are you a single traveler? You may travel single, but you certainly don’t have to travel alone. You can travel with a small group of like-minded people, and share the experiences of a destination; but then have free time to explore on your own. As I tell my clients who are looking at tours and cruises: “You may want to consider joining an existing group. You don’t have to even know other people in your group. However you will get the benefit of a group rates and special fares on room/cabin, dining, attractions, excursions, transfers, air, etc...” It’s a great option for most people. Even some of my honeymoon and anniversary clients have combined private custom and group travel. In doing so, they can have a custom private luxurious honeymoon travel experience, and then jump into part of a group in order to get an additional all-encompassing and cost-effective tour. For the single traveler, you will join with other singles, friends and solo travelers and travel the world together. There are a multitude of options for both land and cruise packages, and for variety of interests and activity levels. I know first hand how sharing new adventures everyday brings everyone together quickly. In my experiences I have travelled 1) as a single in a group, 2) with a group of women, 3) with my husband and many other couples in our age range, 4) with my husband in a group of complete strangers, 5) with friends, family and strangers of all ages and from all walks of life. Travelling in a group regardless of the traveler profile always keeps the cost down and can make the unattainable affordable. For singles, there is also often the complimentary service of roommate matching, where people of the same sex may be placed together in a room or cabin to avoiding paying a single supplement (as most pricing is based on double occupancy).
