Did you know that after receiving a massage the following night's sleep is usually improved over nights beforehand?
Massage therapy can help relax muscles, release tension, and sometimes cause an emotional release. These all can interfere with getting a good night's rest.
Sometimes essential oils can be used together with massages or can be used alone. One way to relax at home to wind down and even induce sleep is by using essential oils known to induce sleep. Remember, when using essential oils, dilute the oils if it is to contact skin.
Neuroli is an essential oil (found in many perfumes) that helps calm the mind and has been shown to induce sleep and help with insomnia. I have found that using a diffuser or an electric potpourri diffuser (filled with water) are the most effective means of spreading the oil.
Lavender is an oil that can be used safely with children as well as adults. It is healing and using room diffusers, the sleep-aid properties of lavender can be inhaled.
Has anyone found that massage therapy helps promote a good night's sleep? & has anyone ever used essential oils to help fall asleep?
