Pulled Turkey and Cranberry BBQ Sliders
Yield: 10-12 sliders
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon canola oil
½ cup Spanish onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon Jalepeno pepper, finely chopped and seeds removed
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ cup whole berry cranberry sauce (or leftover)
½ cup DCD Sweet ‘n’ Smoky Chocolate BBQ Sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard, spicy
½ pound roasted turkey, shredded
10-12 slider or Hawaiian dinner rolls, halved lengthwise
DCD Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Cocoa Rub, to taste ( if desired)
Directions:
1) Heat oil in a medium sauté pan over medium heat. Add onions and jalapenos, sautéing until translucent. Add garlic and continue sautéing for 1 minute.
2) Add cranberry sauce, BBQ Sauce, and mustard. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring often to prevent burning.
3) Reduce heat to low and toss with shredded turkey. Season with cocoa rub if desired.
4) Pile turkey onto rolls to form sliders. Serve immediately and enjoy!
